SACU Club Development Fund

The SACU Club Development Fund is a funding initiative established to support projects that enhance access, inclusion, and long-term sustainability across motorcycle club sport in Scotland.

The SACU governs and promotes a wide range of disciplines including Road Race, Trials, Off Road Speed (such as Motocross and Enduro), and non-motorised Bike Trials. With a network of over 40 affiliated clubs and more than 180 events annually, the SACU aims to make motorcycle sport accessible, inclusive, and safe for participants of all ages and abilities.

The Club Development Fund is guided by the SACU’s mission to break down participation barriers and create lifelong opportunities in sport. Projects applying for funding will be prioritised based on how well they align with the following key criteria:

  • Accessibility and Inclusivity

  • Community Impact

  • Collaborative Partnerships

  • Educational and Skills Development

  • Sustainability

  • Innovation

  • Monitoring and Evaluation

  • Commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

Eligible projects should demonstrate a meaningful benefit to the motorcycle sport community, with a focus on creating welcoming, equitable environments and promoting lifelong learning, health, and wellbeing through sport.

The SACU Club Development Fund reflects the Union’s core values of being Accessible, Sporting, Collaborating, Supportive, and Sustainable, ensuring that everyone—regardless of background—can take part in and contribute to the growth of motorcycle sport in Scotland.
