As you will be aware the current SACU development team originally came on board as part of the Scottish Motor Sports (SMS) partnership agreement between the SACU and Motorsport UK. SMS, received direct investment from sportscotland which was ringfenced to employ two fulltime development staff (Gillian and Shabaz). In April 2019, the SMS partnership came to an end and the development team became fully embedded within the SACU. The redeployment of the development team, the new long term strategic plan of the SACU and adaptations to normal operating procedures during the Covid-19 pandemic has resulted in a review of the development team’s roles and responsibilities. The Board of Directors have taken this into consideration and have agreed to recognise the effort of the development team over the past 18 months and have agreed new job roles to reflect the future plans of the SACU. Additionally, following the retirement of Office Manager Charles Mackenzie Stella Clusker has taken on additional responsibilities.
- Gillian Sefton, previously National Development Manager will now be employed as Chief Operating Officer.
- Shabaz Khan, previously National Development Officer will now be employed as Learning and Development Manager.
- Stella Clusker, previously Office Administrator will now be employed as Office Manager
