I have worked in the sports industry since the age of 17 where I began my career as a lifeguard and gained my first qualifications in swimming teaching and coaching. I achieved my MSc Sports Management from the University of Stirling in 2012 having achieved my BEd Primary Education a year prior. After graduation, I worked at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games as part of the Sport Competition team coordinating and developing the aquatics events. My focus is to aid the SACU to become recognised as more than just a ‘permitting authority’ by implementing a strong strategic plan for future growth, development and long-term sustainability with license holders, clubs and wider members at the centre of all decision making

Since the age of 18 I have always been involved in the sports industry. I first began as a volunteer coach with multiple football teams whilst completing various SFA coaching badges. I then went on to gain my BSc Hons in Sports Coaching at University as well as my Level 3 Personal Training Qualification. During my time at University, I was lucky enough to complete various placements with Active Schools and within my local council performing a wide range of different sporting roles such as disability coach, sports coach and development coach.
